I FEEL, SO I DO

This is the short story I Promised you... enjoy!! I wasn't inspired by anything in particular... even if I was I'm not sure if I'd tell u, bcuz I like ppl 2 cum away with whatever they cum away with, not what I've told them :)

I FEEL, SO I DO

“Mother it is necessary that I carry out this mission, you cannot and you will not hold me back. Not this time - not this time!”


“I am just trying to be the voice of reason in this situation. Listen to me, you’re young and foolish, you are not quite aware of what you’re getting yourself into”

John gazed into the heavens, looking at the possibilities beyond the life he presently woke up into everyday. The universe had so much to offer him. Just take the Stars for example, they are so free, so free to be, free to shine. Not constricted by outsiders, they fulfil their purpose of bringing light and beauty to the sky effortlessly.

“Mother I need to do this, it is my time to shine”

“I agree, shine away. But you don’t have to leave me in order for this to be so. It is not every feeling that must be put into action, rather think with your head, just this once and you’ll see that I am right”

John laughed to himself. The age old myth about age being somehow connected to wisdom sprang to his mind.

“Bye Mum”

“No – Don’t. “I won’t let you do this Jonathan. I won’t let you. PLEASE” she cried

John’s response to his Mum’s plea was a mere smile. He knew what he felt was right to do and that is what he was going to do.

Upon realising what John was thinking, she could always see it in his eyes; Katherine reached out and tried to latch on to his arm. He shrugged her off without an awful amount of strength.

“NOOOOOO...” Katherine’s voice trailed off

She had to see what was left of her Son, what his mission had accomplished for him. She walked to the ledge of the building and forced herself to look down. Clasping her hand to her mouth she was horrified by what she saw. Her John lay dead on the ground, almost unrecognisable. She shuddered as she tried to comprehend what had just happened.



“Maam, step away from the ledge” a voice said from behind

Backing away slowly, the image of her son lying breathless enveloped in blood would live on in her memory from now onwards.

Katherine was escorted off the roof, down the stairs and into a tiny room by a policeman. She was immediately ushered into a chair and a glass of water was thrust into her hand. What will water do for me? She thought to herself, they give me water, when it’s my son that I’m in need of.

“Maam, were you aware that your Son suffered from Schizophrenia?”

“I told him” she screamed as tears burst out of her eyes and ran down her face. “I told him to listen to the voice of reason”

WONDERLAND IN ACTION

I’m getting into the festive season of ALICE IN WONDERLAND… So enjoy a short story….

I DREAM

“Sharday”

“Stop tapping me, what is it?”



“Are you still here – in this room – listening?”


“Where else would I be?” I protested


Tanya shrugged off the idea that I were elsewhere, with a quiet almost quite uncomfortable laughter.


Even though the utterance I uttered functioned as a rhetorical question, the implied answer couldn’t have been more far from the truth. While Tanya ranted on about her marital problems, going over the idea of whether her Husband required her to put the proposal of divorce on the table, I had watched the white walls of the room that had confined me collapse. I had watched my friend Tanya fade into the distance and her voice become nothing more than a tiny whisper.


I on the other hand took the opportunity to walk over the collapsed wall and enter into ‘wonderland’. The Amazon wasn’t as I had imagined it, it was much more. The trees functioned as a canopy that hovered over my head and the trees went on for as far as my eyes could see. I felt like a mouse in the midst of giants. There were different creatures that inhabited the land that sported an array of various colours. Blue, green, red and turquoise were just the colours found on one single creature.


I longed to behold, to come into contact with the indigenous people of the land, even if it was only one. And ohh I was not disappointed at all. Emerging from trees my eyes locked with a blue avatar. I saw her do that thing, you know what I’m talking about. The best way to describe it is when the hair like thing at the end of her hair became one with the hair like thing on the end of the flying creature. Before I knew it I was up in the air flying my own creature thing. It was stunning; it glistened in the sunlight and –


“So?”


“Huh” I say snapping out of my trance, disappointed by the rather plain mundane scenery I appeared to now find myself in.


“The divorce?”


“It’s all in our heads, just in our heads”


“You’re right, if he wanted a divorce he’d have said”

Back to Basicz!! I COULD STRANGLE U!!

So... The issue I'm having with thrillerz at the moment...

1.I was watching ONE MISSED CALL yesterday...and it started off good as Thrillerz do...

You're thinking OMG what's going on... etc... etc...

It literally draws you in ....

But then once you kinda get what's going on, you're like oooh,

they want me to think A'z the Killer but I know itz the one you least suspect...

So you spend the time you should be following the storyline OBSESSING over who the actual killer is;

in your mind the killer must be B...

It turnz out the killer is C...

but it's not so shocking because you knew that the person they wanted you to believe was the killer wasn't...

That's the greatness of a Thriller the twisty turny bits, you never really trully understand it till the end... But then because we've all watched enough thrillers in our lifetimez to kno itz not as simple as it lookz, the endingz however surprising, dn't seem surprising at all...

2.Another thing I've recently noticed is when you know the Thrillerz leading you in a certain direction

 and you're going for it,

thinking that it's as simple as it claimz to be.

Why shouldn't it be, it'z a great storyline, you're loving it...

 You get to the end and they just turn everything on itz head,

and it turnz out everything isn't as it appearz, and you're thinking WHAT?!

It was a great storyline, why destroy it with that horrible ending!!

And finally... before I cum to the end of my little rant!! I HATE RUBBISH ENDINGZ... ENDINGZ THAT JUST LEAVE YOU THINKING... WHAT A BLOODY WASTE OF TIME!!...

3.So bk to my example of ONE MISSED CALL....
The ending was just tragic (and not in a gd way)... I didn't understand it.
Not everyone can be Stephen King, and have the ability to leave an ending so open, that it has 100'z of interpretationz but it still somewhat makes sense.
I think this is what One Missed Call tried to do.. but in my eyes they failed MISERABLY!!

Thrillerz dn't have to be so twisty. Let's take it bk to SIMPLICITY! I mean itz time to bring back originality.... N not just say 'Oh we'll make the ending one they don't suspect' and it'll be a great thriller...

I honestly haven't quite put my finger on what makes a great thriller.... But whatever you people are doing... is just ruining the genre....
